Help us help you.

You've come across a computer problem and now you need to call tech support, but what should you say? You know something isn't working but tech speak isn't really your strong suit, so how can you explain the problem in a way that will get the problem fixed? You need to know how to help your tech support. Good news, you don't need to know all the technical words to get help. Start out by stating what you see happening or not happening on your screen. Give context; sometimes the problem comes from a different source than you may originally think. Make sure to include if this issue has happened before and any other info you think might be relevant. Next try to recreate the problem may not seem like a good idea but if you can get the same error to pop up or have the program glitch again it can actually be of of use to our technicians. Once you've replicated the problem take a screenshot so you can email it to us. Not sure how to do that? For PC users: Press the key called PrntScrn (top right corner of the keyboard) For Laptop users: Hold down the Fn button (bottom left of the keyboard) and press F11 For Mac users: Press Command + Control+ Shift + 3 Next, start an email message to [email protected]. Finally, paste the picture into the body of the email (CtrlV or right-click and Paste)
